A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME...

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A DOER.

This is no surprise considering I come from a long line of doers. Crafting on the kitchen table, building houses, remodeling old cars, starting businesses; it’s fair to say my family likes a project.

Like many, I didn't know what to do with my life post college; however, unlike many, I jumped at the opportunity to flip my grandparents’ old house soon after graduation. Yes, it was an incredible opportunity, but in the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit, it was also an excuse to avoid fully embracing the somewhat unpleasant stage of life we refer to as “young adulthood.”  However, I fully embraced my creative side and soon discovered my love for design, woodworking, and most importantly, bringing an idea to life. In hindsight, this period wasn’t a stall tactic, but, apologies for the cheesy nature of what I’m about to say, simply another step in the complex journey of finding your passions and purpose. I started making gifts for family and friends and after hearing, “You need to sell the gifts you create,” about a hundred times, I started Iradell Designs.

Iradell Designs, as of right now, consists of one woman, too many ideas, and not enough tools, all crammed into one half of a two car garage. I find inspiration in many things: architecture, art, history, music, and especially, nature. Currently, my focus is on handcrafted, household items like charcuterie boards, art, and small furniture pieces. However, I do love to experiment with new ideas, so who's to say what will come next…

Thanks for joining me on this adventure,
